Issuance of Licence
Any person who work or wishes to work as a dealer in notified market area shall apply on the prescribed form to market committee concerned for license or for the renewal of license which shall be granted for such period in such form on such condition and on payment of such fees not exceeding one thousand rupees per annum as may be prescribed.
Suspension/Cancellation of License
The market committee may on being satisfied that there has been a breach of any of the condition of the license by an order writing cancel or suspend or may also direct that such license shall not be renewed for such period not exceeding four months for the first breach as may be specified in that order.
Rate of License Fee
Group:
A Rs. 200/- per annum
B Rs. 100/- per annu
C Rs. 20/- per annum
Levy fee on Agricultural Produce bought or sold in the notified market area on prescribed rates
There shall be a market fee charged by all market committees on the Agricultural Produce:-

- To fix and implement trade allowance in markets, so that growers are not fleeced at the hands of middlemen.
- No trade allowance, other than an allowance prescribed by rules or bye-laws made under this act shall be made or received in a notified market area by any person in any transaction in respect of the agricultural produce.
- To arrange open auction of the Agriculture produce.
- To supervise correct weightment and timely payment to growers.
- To construct Agriculture Markets and to provide amenities in the existing local markets as far as funds permits.
- Any other duty assigned by Government from time to time.
